Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council has purchased 2 x XIV Storage Subsystems to replace an existing IBM DS4000 SAN architecture. The XIV provides a massive increase in scalability and will provide storage capacity for the Councils rapidly growing volumes of Digital Information Storage, plus systems performance and availability improvements. The XIV architecture delivers extremely high utilisation rates whilst requiring significantly less operations management.

The solution was procured via competitive tender under the Buying Solutions framework.
